DatingTrail.co.uk announces the best & worst regions for love seekers
[London, 4th May, 2009] The best and the worst regions in Great Britain for dating have today been revealed by DatingTrail.co.uk, the UK's dating comparison web site. The Regional DatingTrail.co.uk League Table shows where in Great Britain love seekers are likely to have the most success and the areas to avoid.
As well as uncovering intriguing regional dating habits the research has shown a national trend where if either sex significantly outnumbers the other, then less dating events are organised in that region. And where men and women live in equal numbers more dating events are held.
Research carried out by DatingTrail.co.uk analysed 39 separate geographies throughout Great Britain and recorded the number of dating events within every region, the male/female ratio and the average population per event. The research was carried out between January - March 2009.
Regional & national dating research highlights include:
Richard Speigal, director, from DatingTrail.co.uk who compiled the research comments, "Love seekers throughout Great Britain should head for areas where the number of men and women are roughly even. Although this sounds strange, research has shown that trying to attend dating events in an area where one sex significantly outnumbers the other just won't work."
"Another surprising finding is the lack of events for love seekers in Manchester and Liverpool. These are two of our biggest cities yet they are 19th and 26th respectively in terms of the number of dating events held.”
Leading life coach, Rasheed Ogunlaru, whose clients include entertainers and entrepreneurs, says: "It is fascinating to see that in areas where men and women live in roughly equal numbers more dating events are held. This may be due to the lack of availability, such as too few women to go around, or too many men looking for love – whatever the reason people in these areas need a little help to find love. But while the romance stats may vary regionally some simple tips will always boost your chances in love: Be yourself - this is the most attractive quality, and be smart - look the part. Remember - once you're ready then go out into the world and meet people, you're unlikely to find love hiding away like a wallflower."
