Regular fans will have noticed that Dating Trail got a major facelift this week and we now make it easier than ever to meet new people.
Normally when a website gets an update the techies (i.e. me) who spend months doing the work often demand a big announcement. In truth that's just a vanity-fest and most visitors don't care much either way.
But! Aside from a lovely new logo and a change of layout, the new Dating Trail is much easier to use - and also more honest.
We were always good at helping you find local speed dating events and parties; that bit is just as gorgeous (and easy!) as before.
Here's a round-up of other things we've improved on:
We've put a huge effort into our online dating reviews to help make the decision on using dating websites much simpler.
The real key is transparency; we're the first to admit that dating websites aren't overly clear about their pricing or demographics. Luckily we're cutting through all that by researching all the major websites then giving you honest impressions and full pricing to help you decide who to join.
But don't just take our word for it! Remember YOU can review any dating website so if you've had experience - good or bad - please visit the list and add your feedback.
The web's changed a lot since we launched Dating Trail, particularly in the world of social networking. We knew that our content was getting passed around a lot so we made sharing easier: every event, review and article can be shared with your mates in a single click.
Dating Trail has also joined the social explosion with a presence on Twitter and Facebook. Join us on either site for instant updates on dating stories, news, advice and also special party alerts.
This news, tips and advice section (the bit you're reading now) is about to get a whole lot more informed and a lot more fun.
We've pulled together a fantastic band of writers who will be covering dating industry news plus weird, funny and flirty stories from the world of relationships. Be sure to follow us on Twitter - it'll be a giggle.
(Our writers will be coming on stream over the next few days.)
Most of all, big up to you guys! The Trail has a loyal following and we hope you like the changes. We'll continue to be open to your ideas and feedback.
We'd also like to thank our most loyal fan: Paul Benbow of Smart Dating UK. He loves us so much he generally "takes inspiration" by incorporating our ideas into his own website quite soon after we do an update. We look forward to seeing his efforts to catch up - imitation is the best form of flattery. Paul - if you ever produce a good idea of your own, we'll be sure to return the favour.
Thank you all and most importantly have fun!

Richard is the technical brains behind Dating Trail and prefers conversations in binary to real human contact. However he does know some strange things about dating; albeit not from experience (he's asexual like an amoeba) but rather from crunching numbers and peering into databases. He's nerdy but sometimes interesting.
