Episode 4 had everything. Vertigo, great food, a new career direction for me and new-found confidence for Matt.
Matt annihilated my lamb shank. Will stole any possible thunder, or even self-respect, I had for myself as a comedian. Tracey called me on framing everything in comedy terms (which dear reader/viewer I swear were left on the cutting room floor). And Wayne maintained his charming yet cutting demeanour.
So the leaderboard? At the end of the night, Will, Wayne and myself all felt a little deflated. We felt Matt had found his second wind and was taking the final bend with ease. Interesting then that seeing this episode revealed Tracey had other ideas (Limbo and chocolate?!). So it’s myself back in the dressing room, Matt off the pace but with a misplaced confidence in his positioning, Wayne holding the lead by a head but Will is brandishing his crop and seems ready to burst forth.
What will tomorrow’s final episode hold? Is it all as clear-cut as it seems? Are their any last minute surprises? Have I set a cunning trap to derail everyone else’s chances? Is Matt right to be so brazen? Is Wayne actually a female dwarf called Carla? And does Will know what constitutes low alcohol wine and can the geeza actually cook?
All will be revealed.
And as to the critics, according to TVRage every episode was worth and 8/10! Finally someone REALLY delusional rather than just simple.
Tune in, drop out and weep. CH4, 5pm. See you there.
