Enjoy a top night out and meet a whole load of new people. Come along for a fresh, fun and flirty speed dating party in Shrewsbury.
Our speed dating evenings are great fun. Come along with an open mind, don’t take it too seriously and you’ll have a great time, meeting lots of single people and maybe even someone special!
Please arrive from 7.30pm so you can check in, ready for a prompt 7.45 start. You will be welcomed by our host, mingle and relax while we register all our guests. The speed dating sessions finish around 10.30pm, at which point you’re invited to stay on afterwards for drinks at the bar, for further mingling.
How it works
Once everyone has arrived the host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions. Then the dating begins, with women staying seated while men rotate every 5 minutes when a bell rings. Guests mark on a match sheet whether they want to see each person again all match sheets are collect in by the hosts at the end of the evening. You will receive your results within 48 hrs of the event, then its over to you!

The Peach Tree

The Peach Tree is in a newly-renovated area of Shrewsbury, alongside the river with stripped wooden floors and timbered ceilings, and was originally a weaver's cottage adjacent to the Abbey. Its name derives from the hundreds of ripe peaches, peach trees, and peach boughs that someone laboriously stencilled onto the walls. You won't have been sitting down for long before you are staring up at the fabulous open beam roof timbers. The restaurant itself is on two levels, though only the downstairs tends to be used during the day.
Located opposite the Norman Abbey Church, Peach Tree dates back to the 15th century but the present feel is for contemporary, linking easily with the older parts of the building. The adjoining "C21" is a modern, trendy and friendly bar/restaurant, well-known very popular with all ages of customer, whose owners are well respected in the community, and have over the years reinvested heavily in the business to make it what it is today - a first class venue for a diverse range of people.
