Fancy a fab night out in Newcastle where you can mix and mingle with loads of new people? Then your prayers have been answered. Our popular Opera Piano Bar Speed Dating event is geared towards flirty singles who are just too darn busy to meet that someone extra special.

So why not join the party? Come along with an open mind and you never know where it may take you. At the very least, you'll have a laugh and meet some great new friends. You may even find love! But let's not get too ahead of ourselves!

How it all works

Well you're in for a treat! Get yourself to the Opera Piano Bar around 7.30ish so you can check in, ready start at 8 sharp. You'll be welcomed by our host, Lisa who'll offer your complimentary cocktail before giving you the chance to turn a few heads and mingle. Meanwhile, we register the other guests. Once everyone's here Lisa will explain how the evening will pan out and kick off the speed dating.

Girls, you're in the hot seat while gents move around every few minutes when the bell rings. You might want them to stay a while, or you may be pleased they're off, but you've got to keep a note on your Match Sheet. You can hand this over to Lisa at the end of the evening, which is around 10pm. After that, you're welcome to hang around for more flirting and more fun. Then it's a little wait to find out who your mutual matches are. They'll be emailed to you after the event and then the fun really starts. If you clicked with your dream date, it's all over to you.
