YouCanGetMe.com is an online dating site that boasts to have over 1 million photo profiles. This UK dating site gives you live chat and online flirting, secure email services and photo personals as well as a comprehensive free dating search.

Profile Creation

It's quick to get online with YouCanGetMe if you're keen to check out the member base as a free member. You are required to verify your email address before you can get online but this takes just a couple of minutes.

On the downside we noticed that lots of profiles we viewed were empty and very few had photos. Furthermore, as a free member you are not able to click to enlarge member pictures without being forced to upgrade.

Search Style

Once logged in you are presented with what can only be described as a cluttered interface. The usual features and functions are all here but somehow they get lost amongst the adverts designed to lure you to join some of the adult sites. We were not impressed with the amount of cross-selling, particularly as YouCanGetMe is not marketed as an adult dating site.

Halo Score

Many of the features that allow us to award a high Halo score are present on this site. We like that there is phone support and we like that you can cancel your membership yourself online. There is a tab control at the top of the main page that allows you to filter content between, normal, sexy and hot.

Whilst you can stop your membership billing online it's not possible to delete your inactive profile via the site. We worried that as a result of this there could be member profiles on the site that were displayed and not active. We also found the DateCast messaging an irritating source of spammy messages and marked them down accordingly.

Within seconds of registering we were bombarded with a number of instant message windows popping up which also contributed to a low Halo score.

Payment & Support

This site is less expensive than many dating sites we've reviewed. Certain subscription plans offers the YouCanGetMe “Soul-mate Guarantee”. Here's how it is described: Buy our 6 month membership and we'll give you a free Soul-Mate Guarantee; if you are not in a happy relationship within 6 months we will extend your full membership for another 180 days.

Communications Summary

This site makes a big play of its instant messaging and video chat features. We found them to work well when tested. You can also communicate using standard direct messaging features and virtual winks.

This site offers a feature called DateCasts which are mass mailings to every member that meets your basic search criteria. We found this feature simply served to generate huge amounts of spam.

YouCanGetMe offers the option to send/receive SMS text messages via the site. This feature is a chargeable extra with each message costing about £1.00.
